ABOUT THE EVENT
The tables will be led by European and Serbian urban specialists from fields such as urban planning, civic and youth participation, EU integration processes and gender inclusion. The aim of the event is to discuss and map the ideas on how to support and develop informal education of young adults in the field of advocating for equal and just urban public spaces. The round tables will have the following:

Virdžinija Djeković, activist, expert in cultural management, and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade
Ir. Milena Ivković, MSc Arch, Co/founder and CEO Association Placemaking Balkans, Rotterdam / Belgrade
Ljuba Slavković, urbanist at the New Planning Practice, Belgrade
What is the event about?
In March, the National Round Tables of the “Mobilizing Youth for Gender Inclusive Cities – MAAT” transnational project is coming to Belgrade. Association Placemaking Western Balkans, Serbian project partner, will host 5 expert round tables around the main question: How do we mobilize youth to make our cities more inclusive and equal?
The themes of the 5 round tables are
1. Co-creation with Youth
2. Digital Participation among Youth
3. Deliberative Participation among Youth
4. EU Youth Dialogue
5. Youth Activism
Place and Time: March 19th 2024, in the Miljenko Dereta Space in Belgrade, Dobračina 55, starting from 12.30 until 15.00.
